Harmony House is a grand, newly renovated guest house situated on a hillside overlooking "the healing waters" of Little Manitou. Originally built in 1918, this historical landmark began as the YWCA. It was used for many years as a United Church summer camp. Later it was a restaurant and museum. We were looking for a peaceful retreat and a more relaxed lifestyle. In our search we discovered this location. We began renovations in Spring, 1997, and have lovingly restored it to its present condition.
Area Attractions 
Our biggest treasure is the mineral-rich lake itself. The resort area of Manitou Beach is famous for its indoor mineral spa pools. These relaxing and legendary waters were first discovered by the tribes of the great plains. For many years people have realized the curative effects of a visit to Little Manitou.
The beach is also home of world-famous Danceland, noted for its five-thousand square-foot horsehair suspended dancefloor.The Manitou Beach area offers many parks, lakes and natural attractions for outdoor experiences. North America's first bird sanctuary is located within an hour's drive from the beach. 
Manitou Beach is located on a natural fly-way for migratory birds, especially ducks and geese. Walking trails, a golf course, tennis courts, sandy beaches as well as cross-country ski trails (in winter) are all nearby. In the town of Watrous, there are many historical, cultural and business attractions; one of which is the pre-Reformation stained-glass window in the Anglican Church."We would recommend Harmony House for any group or individual who would require a peaceful setting and quality accommodations."
